Official Ursuline Campus Art Fair activities begin on Friday, September 20, with the sixth annual Preview Party, a fundraiser for the Campus Arts Development Fund - designed to reach students of all ages through scholarships, artist-in-residence programs and outreach programs - in conjunction with the Ursuline School for the Performing Arts.

Now in its sixth year, the Ursuline Campus Art Fair Preview Party was "launched" in 1997 as a way for the alumnae of the former Ursuline College to honor the educational legacy of the Ursuline Sisters. It's a great opportunity to get a sneak-peak at some of the art available for purchase during the fair as well as a fund-raiser for the Campus Arts Development Fund.

Many of the artists bring their signature pieces and all are happy to share more about their medium in this relaxed setting.

Featured Artist

The preview party featured artist for 2002 is Teresa Buchholz Beilman, who specializes in carvings in walnut and paints, preferably in watercolors. Originally from Louisville but now living in Wichita, Kan., she has done life-sized statues for churches in Wichita and painted a number of murals and portraits.
