The
process of becoming an Ursuline Sister
Once you've
made the initial contact with the vocation
director and decide you want to go forward, the next step is called
the "discernment process."
This
is the time for us to get to know you and for you to learn more about
us. This process enables you to discover God's call to you and the relationship
of that call with the Ursuline Congregation. We will assist you with
your ongoing efforts to determine if God is calling you to become a
member of this community. Our congregation will also have an opportunity
to discern if you have the potential to become an Ursuline Sister.

What
will following this call allow me to do? With whom will I work?
Becoming an Ursuline Sister will allow you to follow your heart's calling,
in a nurturing and supportive community. We will help you assess your
special gifts and talents and turn those into a positive force for doing
God's work in this world. Whether you want to teach, minister to the
sick, work with adults with disabilities, help women find avenues out
of poerty, or counsel the elderly, you will find the means and the ways
to put your talents to use. And, you will become part of a caring, loving
group of women, joining in community gatherings as you continue to grow
and develop in your relationship with Christ.
