Funds
for the entrance were provided by an anonymous donor and come at a time
when the home is holding a 25th anniversary campaign to raise funds
for needed equipment and renovations. Thus far, donors have given items
that include a new electronic organ for the chapel, several electric
low beds and money to renovate the second and third floor hallways.
To
celebrate the new entranceway, Ursuline Sisters and residents held a
special blessing and ribbon cutting ceremony complete with a parade.
Cheering
them on were children from the Ursuline Montessori School blowing a
sea of bubbles and fourth graders from Sacred Heart Model School providing
parade music with recorders.
