The
Ursuline Associates are a group of women and men - married and single
- who share a life of prayer and service with the Ursuline Sisters of
Louisville. Being an Ursuline Associate allows women and men to join with
us through prayer and ministry without a vowed commitment or living in
community.

Ursuline Associate Also Hall of Fame Inductee
Congratulations to our Associate Ruby Hyde!
She was recently inducted into the Presbyterian Community Center’s Hall of Fame. Ruby has more than two dozen years of experience in revitalizing neighborhoods and commercial district, serving as monitor for the first Enterprise Revitalization Committee for the Ninth Street Corridor.
She also, among other things, founded the Smoketown Pride and Heritage Homecoming Festival, chaired the steering committee of the Economic Development Plan serving both Shelby Park and Smoketown communities, planned and assisted the organization of the Southwick, Newburg, Berrytown and Griffytown Festivals and acted as consultant and advocate for the Wayside Christian Mission.
Ruby proves that Ursuline Associates are not only women and men who are apart of our community in prayer and reflection, but who also walk a path as St. Angela did, serving others as best they can. We thank Ruby for her more than 35 years of community service in Metro Louisville and for the time she’s been a part of our Ursuline family.
