Dear Artist,
I want to thank you for your interest in the 2009 Ursuline Campus Art Fair (UCAF). I am excited to announce that the UCAF will be held Sept. 19 and 20, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Ursuline Campus at 3105 Lexington Road, Louisville, Kentucky.
The UCAF is a juried art event. We limit our booths to 130 of the finest artists, highly regarded for their quality of fine art and fine hand crafted items.
The UCAF allows the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville the opportunity to invite the public to enjoy the beautiful campus and the wonderful art, music, food and fun that is available for the weekend. The art fair is well attended; over 35, 000 people in the community will be on the campus during the two day weekend event.
If you are interested in participating as an artist in our 2009 art fair, please follow the steps below to submit your original art for consideration by the UCAF jury:
1. Complete the application and description form and send it with a non-refundable $25 fee to be postmarked no later than February 20, 2009. (Returned checks will disqualify your application)
2. Along with your application, submit five slides or five 4" x 6" color photos of your work. Please do not send a combination of slides and photos. Please do not send actual product samples or prints. A photo or slide of your booth display is also highly recommended.
3. Please number your slides or photos and submit brief, specific descriptions of each on the enclosed form, with each description corresponding to the appropriate slide or photo number. Please include prices of your work.
4. Photos will not be returned. Slides will only be returned if you enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
Results will be mailed to you as soon as the jury selection is made. If your work is accepted for the UCAF, a 12' x 12' booth space will be reserved for you at a charge of $300. The booth fee is non-refundable. Booth space is limited and the UCAF committee reserves the right to limit the number of artists in any category, as well as total participants.
Please note:
- Only works in the same medium selected by the jury can be displayed during the UCAF.
- Items not acceptable are needlework from kits; works made from molds; food or culinary items; manufactured jewelry, chains, or trinkets; and antiques or flea market items.
- Each artist must have his/her own display equipment and is responsible for keeping his/her own booth neat and free of clutter or trash.
Noncompliance with any aspect of the jury process or any of the requirements outlined above may result in ineligibility for the 2009 UCAF or future art fairs.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you again for your interest in the UCAF. We look forward to hearing from you and viewing your fine works of art.
Sincerely,
Maria May
