Ursuline Academy - Pittsburgh Reunion, October 5, 2002

The spirit of Pittsburgh's Ursuline Academy was alive Oct. 5 at Victoria Hall. More than 250 alumnae gathered at the site of their former school for the first time in 20 years. The all class reunion welcomed alums from more than a dozen states and graduating classes from the early 20s through 1981. A special guest was Olympia Gullo, a graduate from the early 1920s.

"The energy among the alums was phenomenal," said Sister Jean Anne Zappa, President of the Ursuline Sisters and 1967 graduate of the academy. "Their presence attested to the loyalty and commitment to the Ursuline spirit and heritage. I was edified by their response to the invitation and the enthusiasm as they gathered back 'home.'"
